Last Week Tonight With John Oliver has been renewed for three more seasons at HBO. The deal will keep the series on the air through 2026. “Last Week Tonight” has become a mainstay of late-night television and political discourse in America since it launched in 2014. Each week, Oliver and his team explore different social, cultural, and political issues with a signature comedic voice.

The series is produced for HBO by Avalon and Sixteen String Jack Productions. Oliver executive produces along with Tim Carvell, Liz Stanton, Jon Thoday and James Taylor. Paul Pennolino is the director.

Throughout its run, “Last Week Tonight” has won 26 Emmy Awards, including seven straight wins for both best variety talk series and best writing for a variety series. It is currently up for four Emmys at the awards show due to air on Jan. 15. The show has also won two Peabody Awards, five Critics Choice Awards, two GLAAD Media Awards, six Writers Guild Awards and eight consecutive PGA Awards.
