A 16-year-old girl has died from her injuries after a crash in Colchester on Monday. Cassie McCord became trapped between a car and shop wall in Head Street after the driver lost control and mounted the pavement. The teenager from Drury Road was treated at Queens Hospital, Romford but the family were told the next day that all signs of brain activity had ceased. Her parents remained with her and she continued to be linked to a life support machine and the possibility of organ donation was considered but the life support has now been switched off.
