A seven-year-old boy from the Bay Area has been left orphaned after his father gunned down his mother at work before he was shot dead by police.
Alonna Gallon, 24, was fatally shot by her ex-partner in what has been reported by police as an act of domestic violence on Thursday at Berkeley Toyota service center in Albany around 11.15am.
Police were on the scene within minutes, where five Berkeley officers confronted and shot dead the man, who has not yet been identified.
